Don't share it with anyone, including the service desk. It's shown only once, and keep this page open until you've finished.

On your phone

  1. In Microsoft Authenticator, tap +, choose Work or school account and sign in with your account name. Enter this code when asked for a Temporary Access Pass. Authenticator then sets up phone sign-in.
  2. Open My Account on your phone and add your Verified Employee card from the Verified ID section. It carries the photo you just verified.
  3. Come back here to finish. Your new laptop account isn't set up until you do.

Your account is ready and your Verified Employee card is in Authenticator. You'll use it to prove who you are when you call the service desk.

Sign in to your new laptop

  1. At the Windows sign-in screen, choose Other user, then Web sign-in.
  2. Enter your account name and approve the sign-in in Authenticator on your phone.
  3. Set up Windows Hello or a passkey when Windows asks.

The Verified Employee card you shared doesn't belong to the account you've just set up. Share the card for your own new account.

We couldn't match you to an account

Your identity was checked, but the name on your identity card doesn't match the account HR set up for you. No sign-in code was created.

Check the name in your joining instructions and start again. If it still doesn't match, call the service desk on 07502670571.
